Fringe Central Events Programme

The Fringe Central Events Programme was established to deliver a series of professional development workshops, seminars, discussions and creative labs during the Fringe throughout the month of August.

During my tenure I was incredible keen to develop the programme’s focus on diversity, accessibility and equalities within the performing arts as well as introduce a series of events focused on the physical and mental health & well-being of Fringe participants.

In this time I formed strategic partnerships with a number of leading companies and organisations to support this vision, such as Unlimited, Birds of Paradise, Parenting in the Performing Arts and COMMON.

In the run up to 2018 Year of Children & Young people I led on the creation of a new programming strand called Young Voices: Fresh Perspectives focusing on the active and positive role young people play in the arts. This eventually led to the creation of the Fringe Central Youth Panel in 2018. The panel was established to provide an invaluable paid experience for young people with an interest in event curation and programming as well as to ensure that the diversity of events presented were all encompassing.
