Emerging Producers Development Programme
Programme Manager - 2013-2018
The Emerging Producers Bursary Programme was established in 2012 in recognition of the immense professional development opportunities that the Fringe can provide to emerging producers in the performing arts. Renamed ‘Emerging Producers Development Programme’ in 2015, the Programme aims to support emerging UK producers expand their professional networks and develop their learning and creative insight, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The British Council became a partner in the programme in 2015, providing support in developing participants international ambitions.
In the last year of my role at the Fringe Society I led a reshaping of the programme, in consultation with Unlimited and Serendipity, so that a key focus for the programme was to develop diversity in the UK producers in order to provide equitable opportunities for emerging producers who for societal, cultural or geographical reasons, may not have had access to these types of programmes before.
